“I’d like to thank both Jim Hart and Steve Kherkher for their care and dedication to our family”.

Houston, TX (PRWEB) March 05, 2014

A Houston jury awarded $11 million in damages to the family of Mr. Rhodes.

Mr. Rhodes was killed in an auto accident with a commercial truck on October 26, 2011 in East Texas. In finding for the plaintiff, the jury found X-Chem and NCH Corporation negligent in causing the wreck. Mr. Rhodes is survived by his wife of 33 years, and his two children. Attorneys Steven Kherkher and Jim Hart from the Williams Kherkher Hart Boundas, LLP law firm represented the victim’s family.

“This was such a tragedy”, said Jim Hart, “and we were able to effectively focus the jury on the facts. The actions and inactions of X-Chem and NCH took the life of a great man and fantastic family man.”

The jury found that X-Chem and NCH Corp. were negligent in their responsibilities and supervision of their driver. This neglect of duty enabled the crash that took the life of Daniel Rhodes.

“I’d like to thank both Jim Hart and Steve Kherkher for their care and dedication to our family”, said Mrs. Rhodes. “They did a great job trying the case – my husband would be proud.”

“This jury showed a lot of courage, and made a well thought out decision”, said Steve Kherkher. “They were able to put themselves at the scene, and were able to empathize with the family of Mr. Rhodes.”

The case was tried in front of Judge Mike Miller of the 11th District Court, Cause No. 2012-23019, Rhodes (Plaintiff) v. X-Chem and NCH Corporation (Defendants).
