Von Hagen Design’s Exhibit Creates Visual Drama Through High-Tech Silhouettes, Receives Honorable Mention at EuroShop

EuroShop attendees were surprised and delighted to become a literal part of the stunning visual effects on display at the stand of global exhibit manufacturer, von Hagen Design.

Von Hagen Design demonstrated their ability to build environments that not only represent brands but supports their client’s sales activities on tradeshow floors. The firm’s exhibit at EuroShop 2014 centered around the words, “listen. talk. act. together.” and expressed connectivity with customers through intriguing visual effects. Most notably, visitors were greeted by a tall, standing display of live silhouettes of patrons inside the exhibit.

“It created a sense of mystery and visual drama. It intrigued attendees and made them want to take a look at what was happening inside the exhibit,” said the exhibits chief designer, Chris Wendel of ChrisWendel Design + Communication. Live silhouettes of attendees inside the exhibit were displayed on the front facing wall of the exhibit, while von Hagen Design’s message to “listen. talk. act. together.” was projected over the silhouettes. This integration of natural movement, human figures and thought provoking brand messaging made for a stunning visual effect that, indeed, drew attendees in to learn more.

Red and orange lines and fiber optic cables sprawled throughout the exhibit, representing the fast pace of communication in today’s business world. Von Hagen Design’s team also partnered with co-exhibitor ICT, a cutting edge IT and media technology company, to leverage digital information centers as fun and intuitive to use as they were informative. Inside the exhibit, a long assortment of monitors were brought together to create a seamless touch-screen display. Raised up from the floor, the display invited attendees to explore through touching, dragging, pinching and stretching floating icons full of information about the firms’ use of technology in exhibit environments to support their client’s sales goals.

This double decker exhibit was built using SYMA systems, sleek, lightweight materials that look like concrete, imported Italian flooring and large, modern ceiling panels that hung inside a corridor adorned with interactive touch-screen monitors and a thoughtfully contrived LED light display system that created the silhouettes seen from outside the exhibit. Honeycomb acrylic panels and carefully placed mirrors also added depth and dimension to this visually stunning stand.
