The Samy mobile marketing and loyalty solution helped McDonald's drive an industry leading 65% offer redemption rate through mobile devices during the corporate winter campaign period spanning seven weeks from January 6th to February 27, 2014. This represents a 6.5% increase over the same campaign one year earlier when Samy helped drive a 58.5% offer conversion rate for McDonald's; further demonstrating that consumers increasingly prefer to view offers and redeem coupons with their mobile devices.
McDonald's operates 150 corporate and franchise locations in Switzerland. During the seven week period, over 27,000 mobile offers were redeemed with Samy throughout the store locations, representing an average of 180 purchases per location or four new customers per store every day of the campaign. The purchase value of this campaign resulted in approximately half a million dollars in new revenue.
The McDonald's campaign was easily created and managed through the Samy admin portal and included 21 different value deals across a variety of menu items.
