The Focus Personal Training Institute Announces GI Bill Approval
New York, NY (PRWEB) March 06, 2014 -- Focus Personal Training Institute (FPTI), a leading school for professional personal trainers, announces it has been approved to accept military veterans under the GI Bill. This will allow up to 100 percent of tuition to be covered, as well as allowances for books and expenses for eligible veterans.
“We are proud to offer veterans an educational opportunity that opens the door to a potentially lucrative income -- and a rewarding career,” said Institute co-founder Gabriel Valencia, a partner in FocusNYC, the school’s parent company. “The fitness industry is a perfect career for men and women transitioning from military service who want to maintain an active lifestyle and help others.”
According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, opportunities for fitness trainers and instructors are expected to increase over the next decade as businesses, government and insurance companies continue to recognize health and fitness program benefits and provide incentives to join gyms and health clubs.
FPTI certificate programs provide technical knowledge and hands-on practical skills ranging from exercise physiology and injury prevention to nutrition and business management. The school, which is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education, also provides certification exam preparation courses and assists graduates in securing employment.
GI Bill students are praising the curriculum and knowledgeable instructors.
“My military experience taught me the importance of being physically fit and I want to help others achieve and maintain their fitness goals. Being able to use my GI benefits to get expert training will ensure my success as a trainer and a business owner,” said Demont Blue, who served in Iraq with the 990th Engineer Company.
“We don’t simply teach students how to be a spotter in the weight room or give advice about diet. We’re dedicated to educating and developing personal trainers who demonstrate technical proficiency, integrity and professionalism.” said Institute co-founder Joseph Masiello.
Classes at FPTI are conducted in a private, personal setting, with student-teacher- ratios designed for intensive learning. Faculty includes elite personal trainers, clinicians and coaches committed to technical, ethical and service-oriented excellence.
