Manufacturers use MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) to protect brand image, maintain retail value, and keep margins ideal for retailers. But 61% of retailers violate MAP on at least some of the products they sell, and 20% of retailers violate MAP all the time!

Even if only a few resellers are abusing MAP, the situation can escalate quickly due to the nature of the market. One MAP abuser can set off a chain reaction as others fight to stay price competitive.

Manually catching every abuser of MAP is near impossible, especially as prices are changing more and more frequently. “For the manufacturer that produces and distributes thousands of products, policing the retailers who sell your products can be a time consuming challenge.
