Netchemia - Transforming the Way Education Works

The opportunity to provide guidance to and support for Netchemia’s growing, passionate team as they work at the forefront of innovative technology and education speaks to my heart as well as my head.

Prairie Village, KS (PRWEB) March 06, 2014

Netchemia, the leading provider of cloud-based talent management software specifically developed for K-12 school districts and institutions nationwide, has named Sanjay Dholakia to its five-member Board of Directors.

Dholakia, Chief Marketing Officer of Marketo, Inc. (NASDAQ: MKTO), will provide his expertise and more than 20 years of experience in software-as-a-service (SaaS) product leadership, business development and marketing strategy to support Netchemia’s growth as the Kansas City-area company continues to enhance and expand its product offerings for K-12 education.

As CMO at San Mateo, Calif.-based Marketo, which provides the leading cloud-based marketing software platform to more than 3,000 companies of all sizes worldwide, Dholakia is responsible for extending the company’s market leadership, driving demand for its innovative solutions, developing new business segments, and expanding its partner ecosystem to increase the Marketo’s reach.

Before joining Marketo, Dholakia was CEO of social marketing application provider Crowd Factory. A software veteran, Dholakia was also CMO at Lithium Technologies and Senior Vice President and General Manager for SumTotal Systems, Inc. Dholakia holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

“The board and I were thoughtful and diligent in identifying the best fit for our culture and for our near-term and long-range goals,” said Carlos Antequera, CEO and co-founder of Netchemia. “In Sanjay, we’ve found a great match. Someone who can mix his passion for education with his expansive knowledge and breadth of experience to drive Netchemia forward.”

More than 1,400 K-12 districts, schools and organizations (public, charter, private and non-profit) of all sizes rely on Netchemia’s award-winning TalentEd suite of talent management software.

Dholakia joins Stephen Wolfe, Principal at Mainsail Partners, and Jason Payne, Managing Partner at Mainsail Partners, on the Board of Directors. Antequera and Wayne Morgan, Ph.D., Netchemia’s Chief Operating Officer, round out the board.

“I am impressed by the vision of Netchemia and its education- and customer-first mission,” said Dholakia, who served on the board of Lighthouse Community Charter School and is a trustee for The Webb Schools of California. “The opportunity to provide guidance to and support for Netchemia’s growing, passionate team as they work at the forefront of innovative technology and education speaks to my heart as well as my head. I am excited about being able to contribute to this mission.”
