Includes a Redesigned Look, Customizable Branding And Time-Saving Scheduling Options

LPL Financial LLC, the nation’s largest independent broker-dealer, an RIA custodian, and a wholly-owned subsidiary of LPL Financial Holdings Inc., today announced the release of its newest version of Portfolio Manager, the company’s signature performance reporting tool. This technology advancement comes on the heels of several other cutting-edge improvements to technology offerings for advisors, including a new version of LPL Financial’s mobile app and an Enhanced Trading and Rebalancing platform.

“Portfolio Manager is a cost-effective, robust performance reporting system that delivers a comprehensive view of financial information in an easy-to-understand format,” said LPL Financial Managing Director and Chief Information Officer Victor Fetter. “For advisors, client trust is the key component for success. Tools like Portfolio Manager help our advisors demonstrate the value of their advice to their clients, and we intend to continue to provide our advisors with the breakthrough technology that can help strengthen their client relationships.”

LPL Financial has begun a multi-year effort to transform its performance reporting strategy in order to present data that is smarter, simpler and more personalized. With increased accuracy and better quality, the enhanced Portfolio Manager features the following upgrades:

  •     A New Look to All Reports: The reports have been made easier to read and understand, and should provide investors with a clearer view of their financial picture;
  •     Ability to Personalize Branding: Advisors will be able to promote their brand and improve their client experience by adding their logos to their reports;
  •     Performance Reporting Choices: Reports now provide the options of viewing time weighted or dollar weighted (IRR) calculations, which adds flexibility in viewing and analyzing client data;
  •     Capacity to Save Time and Schedule Reports: Advisors will be able to schedule the frequency of their reports.

Deborah Danielson, LPL Financial Advisor and President and owner of Danielson Financial Group in Las Vegas, NV, said her firm uses a performance summary report generated by Portfolio Manager for each of its client meetings: “Portfolio Manager has helped us grow our business in a scalable way. We’d have to hire an additional staff member to prepare for client meetings if we weren’t using LPL Financial’s performance reporting.”

Mr. Fetter added, “With the release of the newest version of Portfolio Manager, LPL Financial has redoubled its commitment to data, reporting and analytical tools. It is among our firm’s top priorities to provide the innovative technology and services that maximize advisor productivity.”
