Stewart became a household name in the early 1970s. He first entered the music business in 1961, but didn’t become a mainstream superstar until his third album. That album, Every Picture Tells a Story, was released in 1971 and was his first album to be certified platinum in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America for selling more than a million copies. During his career, Stewart has been honored with countless awards and accolades. In 1994, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist and as a member of Faces, and has also won Grammy Awards and BRIT Awards.
Santana first became a well-known artist in the 1960s and 1970s with his group, Santana. They featured a soothing mix of Latin and rock music and Carlos Santana is known as one of the most influential artists of his time and one of the most talented. In 2003, Rolling Stone named Santana as the 20th greatest guitarist of all time. He is also one of the most distinguished in history, having won 10 Grammy Awards, as well as three Latin Grammy Awards. Santana entered the music business in 1966 and has performed with some of the best artists of all time.
As a solo artist, Santana has released seven albums in his career and has been a part in several of the most popular singles in rock and roll history. Among those singles includes “Black Magic Woman,” Oye Como Va,” and “Evil Ways.” His younger fans might know songs like “Maria Maria” featuring The Product G&B and “Smooth” featuring Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty. The latter was the first No. 1 single for Santana and appeared in the Billboard Hot 100 charts for 30 weeks.
Stewart has had one of the greatest careers in the history of music. He has sold more than 100 million records, which earned him the first Diamond Award from the World Music Awards. Among his most popular songs that fans will hope to hear include “Maggie May,” “You Wear It Well,” “Sailing,” “Baby Jane,” “Have I Told You Lately,” “The First Cut is the Deepest,” and “Rhythm of My Heart.”
When these two music legends join forces this year for this tour, they will be heading to many elite venues including the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC; Pepsi Center in Denver, CO; and the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.
