Buy Your Own Giant Doughnut Artwork to Benefit a Nonprofit
Winston-Salem, NC (PRWEB) March 07, 2014 -- Buy Your Own Giant Doughnut Artwork to Benefit a Nonprofit
Ever eaten a fresh, hot Krispy Kreme Original Glazed® doughnut and said, “I wish I had bought more!” Well, here’s the opportunity to satisfy your doughnut cravings by purchasing a giant work of doughnut art and benefiting a nonprofit organization at the same time. These doughnuts, of course, aren’t for eating enjoyment: They’re a feast for the eyes.
Beginning in mid-2013, Krispy Kreme partnered with artists representing a dozen nonprofit organizations serving children and/or the arts in its hometown of Winston-Salem, N.C. and surrounding areas for “Doughnuts on Parade.” The result: twelve giant four-foot-tall, doughnut-shaped works of art. Beginning March 10, Krispy Kreme is showcasing the incredible works of original art and making them available for public bidding through an online auction at doughnutsonparade.com. Bidding on these doughnuts will begin at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 10 and last through Thursday, March 20 at 6 p.m., so be sure to act fast! Proceeds from the auction will benefit organizations serving children and/or the arts that were chosen by the artists.
In addition to the online auction, many of the incredible works of doughnut art are on public display until the auction concludes at the nonprofit organization or other locations throughout the Triad.
