LowestRates.ca’s infographic also compares its online customers with those at a traditional “brick and mortar” auto insurance shop. Interestingly, online shoppers generally hail from different demographic groups and drive different types of vehicles.
“We found it interesting that online auto insurance shoppers at LowestRates.ca skew much younger than at our brick-and-mortar auto insurance partners. And, while being younger, our customers tend to drive older vehicles – in fact, over half of our online quotes were for cars seven years or older,” said Thouin.
The infographic also breaks down traffic tickets reported by LowestRates.ca customers by car make. Infiniti, Audi, Jeep, Pontiac, and BMW drivers tend to have the highest number of tickets, perhaps not unsurprisingly as drivers take full advantage of the vehicles’ horsepower.
