A NJ Catholic priest has created a unique App called PeaceQuest, a place to go on the iPad or iPhone to mediate or pray. In the crowded App marketplace, there is nothing else out there that compares.

Father Stephen Fichter, pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Haworth, NJ, has developed an innovative App for the iPhone and iPad, called “PeaceQuest.” The PeaceQuest App transports you to a destination where you can become part of a more spiritual environment. Every PeaceQuest experience is guided by a monk named Anam Cara, which is Irish for soul friend. “PeaceQuest is an immersive experience designed to allow you to escape to a completely different and tranquil place. You will be surrounded by beautiful scenery and filled with serenity when you want to get away from the stress of your busy life. You have only to follow Anam Cara’s lead and listen with your heart,” said Father Stephen.

In addition to his pastoral work, Father Fichter is also a research associate for the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA) at Georgetown University. He is co-author of "Same Call, Different Men: The Evolution of the Priesthood since Vatican II.” A renowned lecturer on religious and sociological matters, and the holder of a PhD and four Masters-level degrees, he has embraced 21st century technology by co-creating a groundbreaking App for the iPhone and iPad.

PeaceQuest is available at the App store for $2.99. For more information please visit: as well as Facebook and Twitter.
