Steelwedge, the leader in cloud-based Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) solutions, today announced that three of its executives, Andres Botero, Michelle Jones, and Danny Smith, were named Supply Chain Provider “Pros to Know” by Supply & Demand Chain Executive. The Provider Pros to Know is a listing of individuals from a software firm or service provider, consultancy or academia who have helped their supply chain clients or the supply chain community at large prepare to meet the significant challenges in the year ahead.
Andres Botero is the Chief Marketing Officer at Steelwedge. Previously, he was the Global Lead of Supply Chain Management (SCM) Marketing at SAP where he was responsible for strategy, positioning and overall marketing for SAP SCM solutions. Prior to that position, he led marketing for the Supply Chain Execution solutions, taking to market the new Transportation Management and expanding exponentially the adoption of the SAP Extended Warehouse Management. He also held strategic positions in Siebel Systems, StepNexus, Mobil Oil, Arthur D. Little and Procter & Gamble. Botero has 14 years of experience in enterprise software, including CRM, SCM and BI/Analytics.
As Steelwedge’s Vice President, Alliances, Michelle Jones is responsible for developing and advancing global and regional strategic consulting and technology alliances to deliver added value to customers. She brings more than 15 years of experience in multinational channel strategy and implementation to her role at Steelwedge. She has deep expertise in relationship management, revenue generation, channel, marketing, operations and event management. In particular, Jones has lead and developed alliance programs with enterprise software companies including: Infor, Computer Associates, Seeburger, Ariba, Aspen Technology and SynQuest.
Danny Smith is Vice President, Industries at Steelwedge. He serves as an in-house expert on Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and S&OP processes, and on how companies across industries can leverage the Steelwedge S&OP Platform to meet their goals. Prior to Steelwedge, Smith was Executive Director, Supply Chain Management for Oracle, where he served as its global solution champion for IBP. He started his career in strategic planning for a Fortune 300 company. In this role Smith personally experienced the pain of attempting to orchestrate an IBP process without the right technology platform, which led him to his career path of pursuing a better way to deliver on the promise of IBP.
“Steelwedge is proud to have three of our executives on the prestigious list of Supply Chain Provider Pros to know in 2014,” said Glen Margolis, Steelwedge CEO. “We take great care to build our team with highly experienced and knowledgeable professionals in supply chain management and S&OP. It’s something that our customers recognize and value, and these awards send a clear signal that the industry acknowledges it as well.”
“Supply chain is increasingly recognized as a strategic differentiator for leading small, medium and large enterprises, and supply chain leaders have become crucial to the success of the enterprise in meeting the challenges of what truthfully has been called a turbulent economy," said Barry Hochfelder, Editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. "Our Pros to Know listing highlights many of these outstanding executives and their accomplishments, and it offers a roadmap for other leaders looking to leverage supply chain for competitive advantage.”
