HR-XML is re-emerging as HR Open Standards Consortium, Inc., the non-profit announced today. The name reflects the organization's renewed mission to not only champion the development of data exchange standards for the human resources community, but also to simplify integration between HR technology service providers.

"We're the only independent, non-profit and volunteer-led organization dedicated to this mission," explained Kim Bartkus, executive director. "Names come and go, but our commitment to interoperability within the global HR community has remained constant since 1999. We look forward to leading the ongoing development of standards that ensure HR systems are easy to implement and integrate, which will reduce employers' time to deploy, cut expenses and ultimately increase revenue."

With standards developed by HR business and technology experts available for public download, the organization solves employers' real-life integration and business needs and enables global data integration across the following specialties: assessments, benefits, contingent staffing, employee performance management, payroll, recruiting, screening and time management.
