ClearEdge Power CEO David Wright, will present plans for the future of his burgeoning organization and its influence on the stationary fuel cell industry, March 13 at Cleantech Forum San Francisco. Wright’s address to the annual gathering of worldwide thought-leaders in the cleantech industry will cover the dynamics of the UTC Power acquisition – hailed as one of the most significant transactions in the stationary fuel cell market last year – key post-merger activities and ClearEdge’s potential to impact the future of distributed energy.

“By combining the team, technology and heritage of UTC Power with the talent and know-how of ClearEdge Power, we are now positioned to lead the clean energy market,” said Wright. “The business market needs clean, secure and reliable energy, and has little time for promises and theories. Our team and technology have provided power for every manned space mission since Apollo and today we have more than 11-million hours of field operation, all with little more than water vapor as a bi-product.”

Wright, who previously served as chief executive for tech companies that include Amdahl Corporation, Verari Systems and Legato Systems, joined ClearEdge Power as a board member in 2011 and became CEO in 2012. His recent focus has centered on restructuring the company’s product development and organizational growth to take full advantage of the 50 years of fuel cell tech experience that was acquired in the UTC Power deal.

The company’s flagship fuel cell technology, PureCell® Model 400 and Model 5 fuel cell systems are offered in 5-kilowatt and 400-kilowatt configurations and are deployed indoors and outdoors via urban and rural applications across 19 different countries. PureCell fuel cell systems feature an industry-leading 10-year fuel cell stack life and use natural gas to supply secure, uninterrupted energy with efficiencies of up to 96 percent when providing electricity and usable waste heat.

Other speakers slated to appear at Cleantech Forum San Francisco include Dan Yates, CEO of Opower; Ann Hand, CEO, of Project Frog, one of Fortune’s “10 Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs” in 2013 and the former senior vice president of marketing for BP; and Dr. Kristina Johnson, CEO of Enduring Hydro and former Under Secretary of Energy for the U.S. Department of Energy.
