Upcoming Webinars from WPL Publishing to Focus on Measuring Delay and Addressing Extensions of Time in Construction
Washington, DC (PRWEB) March 07, 2014 -- Within two weeks, WPL Publishing will begin hosting a two-part webinar series aimed at helping a wide variety of professionals within the construction community measure delay and address extensions of time in their projects.
First up in this pair of 90-minute webinars is “A Comprehensive Approach to Measuring Delay,” presented by Trauner Consulting Services Inc. Principal Scott Lowe and Mark Nagata, a shareholder with the firm, on Thursday, March 20, 2014. The following Wednesday (March 26), Barba Consulting’s chief executive officer will provide plenty of helpful information during “Preparing and Evaluating Extensions of Time.” Each webinar will begin at 1:00 p.m. (EDT). To register for either or both webinars, visit http://tinyurl.com/o5e8r77.
Attendees of “A Comprehensive Approach” will learn how to use the time impact analysis (TIA) and contemporaneous approaches to timely identify and resolve delay issues on their projects. Contract language supporting these methods will be reviewed and discussed. Among other things, attendees will examine critical path scheduling, grasp why the TIA and contemporaneous approaches are so powerful, and learn how to avoid disputes and resolve potential delay claims in the future without the need for litigation.
In the second webinar, Evans Barba will provide attendees an overview of the extension of time/TIA process and discuss approaches for successful implementation in their projects. Besides gaining a more thorough understanding of the extension of time/TIA process, the audience will learn about requirements associated with this process, provisions within those requirements that can undermine their successful application, critical path method specification language relative to the preparation of both prospective and retrospective extension of time/time impact analyses, among other things.
At the end of each webinar, there will be an interactive 10-to-15 minute question-and-answer session addressing relevant topics.
Webinar tuition is based on location, not number of participants, so each registration site can have multiple participants for one low price. To register, visit http://tinyurl.com/o5e8r77.
