Announcement: BluesGuitar.com Releases “Eric Clapton Style Guitar Riff - Easy Blues Guitar Lesson”
(PRWEB) March 09, 2014 -- A “riff” is the catchy part of a song that sticks in your head. One of the most recognizable guitar riffs of all time is “Smoke on the water” by Deep Purple.
This lesson is based from Crossroads as recorded by Eric Clapton, originally written by Robert Johnson. “I want to show you a lick that just exemplifies so really great blues idiosyncrasies with bending”, says MacLennan, “one of the things that is so hard about this solo is matching the bending the way Eric Clapton does it”. Jon says that you can practice this by playing this lick; 13th fret of the 2nd string and bending it up and following that with the 14th fret of the 3rd string and then back to the 13th fret of the 2nd string again and then to the 15th fret of the 2nd string. Next he bends the 15th fret up one whole step and then descends back to the 13th fret and then back to the 14th fret of the 3rd string and then finally back to the 13th fret of the 2nd string again with another bend. Guitar TAB’s are available for this blues guitar lesson at BluesGuitar.com.
