Hands-Free Breast Pump System Enters Insurance Market
Silicon Valley, CA (PRWEB) March 07, 2014 -- Dao Health announced today that they have begun marketing their revolutionary Freemie hands-free and concealable breast pump systems to durable medical equipment companies, also known as DME’s, who provide moms with breast pumps through their health insurance plans.
At the heart of the Freemie pumping system are cup-shaped devices with specially integrated breast funnels. The old horns and bottles are no more. The Freemie cups fit inside a woman’s regular bra, connect to her breast pump for suction, and collect her milk in the cups and underneath her clothes. It is the breast pump rethought for modern life.
Dao Health will be exhibiting their new Freemie brand double electric and double manual breast pumps and patented collection cup systems for the first time at Medtrade in Las Vegas March 11 and 12. Medtrade is a regular industry trade show for DME’s. The company chose this conference to showcase their new Freemie product line because of changes in the industry under the Affordable Care Act, which has caused insurers to begin providing new moms with their own personal breast pumps. Moms now go to a DME that works with their insurance company to get their breast pump just before or after they deliver their baby. The DME’s usually have several different pumps for the moms to choose from. Dao Health aims to make their Freemie pumps one of those choices available to new moms. The company’s goal in partnering with DME’s is to help those moms optimize their insurance benefits when they make their first choice for a pump.
“We are excited to partner with the DME industry to start delivering our patented technology to meet a huge need in the US market,” said company co-founder Dan Garbez. “There are very real and significant obstacles faced by millions of moms every day who are trying to continue lactation and breastfeeding, in order to provide optimal nutrition for their babies. We are driven by the belief that pumping needs to be easier and more flexible for these moms. We’ve only had our solutions on the market for a few months now, but it’s clear that when moms know about our new hands free and concealable breast pump system, it is the system they want. Moms and babies deserve this technology.”
