Caribbean fitness expert, Aimee Borda, is from a small handful of Zumba® Fitness instructors from Boston who are now licensed to teach Zumba's newest program, Zumba® Step.
As soon as Zumba® released their new Zumba® Step instructor training class, Aimee quickly signed up. "With summer just around the corner, I wanted to introduce Zumba® Step to my students to help them tone and strengthen their lower bodies. When summer is near, a lot of women start getting their bodies ready so they can wear those skimpy bikinis and cute summer dresses," Aimee says. "The core, legs and butt are some areas women like to tone for the summer. But the problem with these areas is that they sometimes require a lot of hard work and time. But with Zumba® Step, I see this as a fun approach to working your lower body and getting results. I predict Zumba® Step is going to be in big demand because of what it can do."
"In the early 90s, I taught step aerobics and I loved it because it really gave you an overall workout, especially the lower body. Now, I'm teaching Zumba® Step and I love it even more. Zumba® Step gives you that same overall work but it's more fun and exciting and definitely much easier to learn than the original step aerobics," says Aimee.
Aimee has been helping women in Boston lose weight and get in shape with personal training and Zumba® Fitness since 2009. Aimee has had a lot of success in helping women reach their fitness goals with Zumba® because it's very fun and social (everyone feeds of everyone's energy and everyone helps each other out).
"I find that when you are having fun and you're are in a social environment you forget that you're working out and that's when you start seeing results," says Aimee.
