Tariq Drabu Praises Research Linking Poor Oral Health to Rheumatoid Arthritis
(PRWEB) March 11, 2014 -- Tariq Drabu is a well-known dentist. He is the owner of the successful Langley Dental Practice in Middleton, Manchester. He is also Clinical Lead Dentist for the Oral Surgery Clinical Assessment and treatment Services for NHS Heywood Middleton and Rochdale. As a well-known dentist and a highly respected professional he is always interested in the latest scientific research and studies. He has also dedicated a large portion of his time to teaching postgraduate students of dentistry and he often shares news of the latest research with them.
Tariq Drabu, the top dentist, was speaking in reference to an article recently published in the Denistry Today website. The article, which can be read here in full, discusses a new study which has revealed a link between poor oral health and rheumatoid arthritis. The study was undertaken by a team of researchers from the University of Louisville.
Tariq Drabu, leading dentist, said, “The study sought to determine whether poor oral health increased the risk of rheumatoid arthritis. The study looked specifically at an enzyme which is present when an individual has developed gum disease. I believe that any study which shows the negative health implications of gum disease is important work. We must be aware of all the dangers so we can properly inform our patients of the risks. My hope is that as each new research study is completed, the results revealed can be used to prevent further instances of disease, and to encourage more people to follow a healthy oral health regime.”
Tariq Drabu is a well-known dentist. He is also highly respected as a teacher of postgraduate students who value his professional opinion. He believes that staying abreast of the latest developments in research and development helps him to give his students the very latest information, as well as helping him provide the highest levels of care to his patients.
Tariq Drabu is a highly sought after dentist and his practice is consistently busy. He explained more about the research study and why it is of interest to him, “I like to stay up to date with all the latest research. Although my practice and teaching keep me very busy, I always make sure I have time each week to read about new research. I think it is an important part of my own continued development as a practising family dentist and as a teacher. The results of this study indicate that the presence of the enzyme, peptidylarginine deiminanse, could be associated with rheumatoid arthritis. This is not the first study to highlight this link, and so I believe these new results confirm the earlier findings.”
Tariq Drabu, the leading dentist closed by saying, “I understand that further studies are planned, and I welcome these. The more we can find out about the harmful effects and risks associated with gum disease, the better equipped we will be to fight them. There is no doubt in my mind that further research will be invaluable to the dental and medical professions.”
