From national security sites to retailers such as Target and Neiman Marcus, there is an ongoing and growing cyber war in progress. Cyber threats initiated over the web are of concern for the military, business and even home computer users. Cyber attacks come in many forms, from Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks to attempts to insert malware. It is estimated the total of such attacks rose by 32 percent in 2013 and they show no indication of slowing down. These attacks cause billions of dollars in losses each year, with a single average DDoS attack running more than $630,000 in damages.

Jimmy Johnson continues the popular examination of culturally relevant issues through his hosting of the "Leading Edge" series by examining this topic in detail. The program will look at the current threats faced by our national government and businesses and provide insights into why this is such a serious problem. Interviews with leading experts and cyber warriors will enlighten viewers as to what is being done to both prevent and lessen the damage of these attacks. Tips will also be provided on how to protect viewer's networks and computers from such threats.

The Leading Edge series is distributed directly to Public Television stations throughout the U.S. It is not distributed through PBS. For more information, please visit the website at http://www.leadingedgeseries.com or contact the series producers at info(at)leadingedgeseries(dot)com."
