Southfield, MI (PRWEB) March 20, 2014

Stefanini, Inc. (http://www.stefanini.com), a global provider of IT infrastructure outsourcing, application development and integration, and strategic staffing, announces further investment in the company’s portfolio of Application Development and Consulting Services. In the past six months, Stefanini has significantly ramped up service delivery capabilities in the areas of Mobility, Collaboration and Enterprise Content Management Services, and Application Managed Services (AMS), particularly in the area of Mainframe Modernization and Support.

“We see a tremendous amount of unmet demand in Mainframe Services in today’s market,” said Rakesh Chitradurga, Stefanini Global Vice President, Application Services. “Stefanini provides a deep pool of experienced Mainframe resources, delivered via our ‘best shore’ delivery model.” said Chitradurga. “Our “best-shore in a pod” model provides clients with trained and tool enabled mainframe resources that can be engaged on maintenance, modernization or development projects.”

Stefanini announces entering into a global licensing agreement with Micro Focus for Enterprise Developer for zEnterprise and Enterprise Test Server. Offering smart editing, compilation, advanced debugging, and integrated testing capabilities, Enterprise Developer and Enterprise Developer for zEnterprise is the smart and simple way to modernize, develop and maintain mainframe applications. These tools from Micro Focus will allow Stefanini to use best-in-class technology in the delivery of mainframe consulting services.

Stefanini also announces Robin Garrison as Mainframe Services Practice Leader. Robin will lead Stefanini’s Mainframe Modernization, Optimization, and Maintenance and Development practice for the North America and APAC regions. Robin joins Stefanini from Micro Focus, where he was responsible for PMO activities for North America. Bringing over 20 years of IT industry experience, Robin has served as a consultant on many global process re-engineering and ERP projects. Robin has also held leadership positions at ADP and HP/EDS.

“Stefanini offers proven Mainframe services, leveraging nearshore Centers of Excellence in Mexico and Brazil,” said Garrison. “We have many highly experienced resources with extensive history in mainframe environments and are uniquely positioned to aid clients with mainframe maintenance, optimization, and modernization efforts,” added Garrison. “In today’s mainframe environment with so many support technicians retiring, gaining access to resources with a depth of mainframe experience represents a challenge for many enterprises. This is where Stefanini can help.”
