Table 118 Located in Lake City, SC Announces a New Menu Combining Timeless Classics and Playful Twist
Lake City, SC (PRWEB) March 12, 2014 -- He’s done it again! Chef Carlos Brown rocks the Pee Dee with a new menu featuring timeless classics and his playful twists. The menu has a new sleek look and showcases his passion for using local ingredients by bringing several South Carolina producers, farmers and artisans to the table.
Dinner apps now feature “PEI Mussels” cooked in chef’s brick oven and finished with a rich tomato cream. Chef expects his “Artisan Butcher Board” will be a big hit with thinly sliced cured meats, local cheese, house-made mustard and rustic bread baked in house.
Entrees have a face-lift as well, highlighted by “Cioppino Belmar” packed with a ton of fresh seafood and placed on chef’s homemade pasta. He’s also bringing back an all-time Lake City fave – “Rosemary Lamb Chops” on savory Cajun potatoes and local vegetables.
Lunch received most of chef’s heavy lifting with a major expansion of almost a dozen new options. Get there early and beat the crowd lining up to grab the only fresh pasta within 50 miles but don’t be surprised if chef’s “Lake City Pasta” with local veg sells out every day. For that southern fix you’ll have a tough choice between the “Pulled Pork Sandwich” with Peach Chipotle Slaw or the “118 BLT” piled high with peppered bacon, fried green tomato & pimento cheese. Looking for something a bit lighter? All the salads are now being served with an option of grilled or fried chicken, grilled salmon or sautéed shrimp.
Wait, there’s more. The bar needed some love too so now it’s sporting a new drink menu with handcrafted cocktails that will rival any Charleston line up. Be the first in town to sip on the “Hibiscus” with Champaign, candied hibiscus flower & bitters or maybe try the “Lake City Sipper” mixed with rye whiskey, lemon and thyme syrup. There are eight more to choose from, all unique and made with the same care as the food.
