Washington, DC (PRWEB) March 10, 2014
Autographaroo, developer of a unique new interactive webcast application that brings together fans and celebrities through live online events where fans can chat with celebrities and get personalized autographs, announced today that New York Times Bestselling author Cara Black will appear on an Autographaroo webcast this Tuesday, March 11, 2014. The event will be broadcast live from KramerBooks & Afterwords Café in Washington, DC beginning at 9:30am ET. During the live webcast viewers will be able to chat online with Cara Black and get a personalized signed copy of her newly released book Murder in Pigalle. Viewers can join the free webcast live at http://www.Autographaroo.com from any Internet connected device. Personally autographed first edition copies of Black's book will be available for purchase online during the event.
According to Liz Sara, spokesperson for Autographaroo, "in the past, getting a personal autograph from a celebrity usually meant you had to travel somewhere, buy a ticket to an event, and wait in line for a brief chance to exchange a few words and capture that coveted signature. But the truth is that most folks across the country never get to meet their favorite celebrities in any personal way" she said. "Autographaroo was developed so that fans can have a front row seat at a truly live and uniquely personal online venue where they can meet and interact with their favorite celebrities and get a treasured autograph without any of the hassle or added cost," Sara said. "Cara has a large fan base of readers and we are delighted to have her appearing on our show," she said.
Cara Black is the New York Times bestselling author of 14 books in the Private Investigator Aimée Leduc series, which is set in Paris. Cara has received numerous accolades for her novels, including multiple nominations for the prestigious Anthony and Macavity Awards, a Washington Post Book World Book of the Year citation, and the Médaille de la Ville de Paris—the Paris City Medal, which is awarded in recognition of contribution to international culture. "I’m excited to be part of this live webcast on Autographaroo to share the release of my new book," Black said. "As an author, the book tour schedule surrounding a new release can be intensive, exhausting and costly -- yet I can still only visit a limited number of cities and meet a small number of my dedicated readers in person," she said. Autographaroo makes it possible for me to meet and chat with readers from all over the country and sign books for everyone without any of us having to travel," Black said.
Kramerbooks & Afterwords Café - one of Washington DC’s most beloved independent bookstores – will be the venue for the webcast. Kramers’ has been an institution in Washington since 1976 when it became the first combined bookstore and café in the city. Located just off of DuPont Circle at 1517 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20036, KramerBooks is famous as a place for browsing, having coffee with friends, and meeting people. "KramerBooks has a history of innovation among independent bookstores so we are delighted to support this live webcast event by Autographaroo featuring Cara Black, whose books are very popular among our clientele," said Scott Able, General Manager.
