New Atlantis Expedition in the Making
(PRWEB) March 09, 2014 -- Ever since Plato first mentioned Atlantis in his dialogues; timaeus and critias, for thousands of years it has intrigued explorers and historians alike. The mystery of this sunken city, its treasures, and its culture have long thought to be in the depths of the Mediterranean Sea. Could this city actually exist? Ever wanted to be a part of a truly historic discovery?
Robert Ishoy, historian and author of http://www.atlantisdiscovered.org is launching a crowd funding campaign to mount an expedition to search for Atlantis. This campaign is being launched to fund the formation of a new non-profit organization; Society for Historical Exploration, and to sponsor an expedition to Sardinia in 2015 based on Robert Ishoy’s thesis on the historical location of Plato’s Atlantis. The campaign begins on 10 March 2014 on Indiegogo.com.
Robert Ishoy wrote his thesis while attending CSU Fresno. The Web site http://www.atlantisdiscovered.org was published in 2001. Since 2001 Robert Ishoy’s thesis has received worldwide recognition.
Membership to the Society for Historical Exploration is offered at various levels based on donation amounts and is open to all who are interested in working with Robert Ishoy in forming this new non-profit organization and participating in this and future expeditions.
A video presentation by Robert Ishoy explaining the details of this venture is currently posted on YouTube at http://youtu.be/LwXaByB2-no.
