CareerCycles.com Releases Podcast On Reinventing Yourself and Online Talent Management Systems
(PRWEB) March 10, 2014 -- As part of their Career Buzz series, CareerCycles has released a podcast that highlights the benefits of online talent management systems, and changing your career to change the world.
The podcast features conversations with Jilaine Parkes and Julia Moulden. Jilaine is an HR & Organizational Development Professional who has worked at organizations such as Bombardier, Cineplex and Kraft. She is also the co-creator of an online talent management software company (co-created with with Lavalife co-founder and CBC’s Dragon’s Den star Bruce Croxon) that uses the online program Sprigg to conduct employee performance reviews. Jiliaine’s discussion about her career path, and her reasons for starting her talent management company sheds light on how human resources can use online talent management software to foster employee talent, as well as the benefits of using Sprigg to improve the ease and functionality of employee reviews using a metric-driven system.
Julia discusses concepts from her books, "We Are the New Radicals: A Manifesto for Reinventing Yourself and Saving the World", and "RIPE: Rich, Rewarding Work After 50", about how to reinvent and repackage yourself, in terms of your career. The desire to make a difference and turn that passion into a career has driven many activists, entrepreneurs and innovators to take what they love and make it what they do. For some, this is a way to find meaning and to lead a more balanced and complete life. Julia discusses how to redeploy one’s skills, which doesn’t simply mean transitioning roles, but may also mean a complete career change towards something greater.
This inspiring podcast, found here, will give listeners new ways to think about their work skills, about how they conduct performance reviews and how they can get started making a living through making a difference.
