A full-scale information security conference for the greater New Orleans area June 19-22, 2014. Call for speakers is open!

New Orleans, LA: Today, NolaCon announced its plans for a new addition to the popular Information Security conference circuit. NolaCon 2014 will bring hundreds of Information Security professionals and enthusiasts from around the world together in the French Quarter. From online privacy and data security to cryptography and malware analysis, NolaCon speakers and trainers will discuss some of the most pressing security issues of the day. The conference is scheduled for June 19-22, with pre-conference training June 19-20, and the main conference June 20-22.

NolaCon is currently accepting speaking proposals from experienced security professionals. Those wishing to be considered can contact Rob Andersen at rob at NolaCon.com or by submitting through the NolaCon website. While speakers are being recruited from around the country, many of the speaking spots are reserved for people from New Orleans and surrounding communities to protect the local flavor of the conference.

Founder Rob Andersen says that the time is right for New Orleans to have its own place in the digital security spotlight. “The technology sector in New Orleans is one of the fastest growing in the country, and that growth in technology goes hand in hand with growth in information security needs. Through NolaCon, we want to show the broader tech community what New Orleans has to offer.”
