Silicon Cloud International (SCI), a provider of secure and private cloud computing infrastructure, announced today its board of advisors and a new executive team member. SCI provides an end to end semiconductor design infrastructure that is maintenance free and provisioned with the latest semiconductor process technologies, production grade workflows, semiconductor Intellectual Property (IP), and Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software.

SCI’s advisory board includes industry leaders that provide strategic direction and industry insight. The board of advisors includes Ulf Schneider, VP and Managing Director for Lantiq and President of the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association, K.H. Jen, former Managing Director of Micron Singapore, and Matthias Andermatt, industry consultant.

“SCI’s common and consistent infrastructure enables global semiconductor development and research collaboration. The board of advisors provides us with a wealth of experience from across the semiconductor industry,” said Mojy Chian, CEO and co-founder of Silicon Cloud International.

SCI also announced that Dr. Tony West has joined the management team as VP of Cloud Technology. Dr. West previously held senior R&D positions at Cisco, Sun Microsystems, Xerox PARC and IBM Research. In his last position at Cisco, Dr. West headed Research and University Relationships globally for the corporation, and was deeply involved in research in cloud technology (e.g. Openstack) and Cisco’s computer systems family, UCS.

SCI is working with several countries around the world to establish a national semiconductor design and computing infrastructure for universities and research institutes. SCI is partnering with semiconductor ecosystem providers including EDA, foundry and Intellectual Property (IP) companies. These partnerships will be announced shortly.
