L-com Adds New DB15 Male and Female Shielded Connector Covers
North Andover, MA (PRWEB) March 27, 2014 -- L-com, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of wired and wireless connectivity products, announced today that it will now be offering DB15 male and female metal shielded connector covers. These covers are inexpensive and are perfect for protecting unused DB15 ports, cables or any equipment from physical damage, dirt, and dust. Unlike plastic covers, these metal covers also maintain protection against EMI/RFI.
“L-com has sold several thousand of the existing DB9 and DB25 shielded covers so launching the DB15 version was long overdue,” said Steve Smith, Product Manager.
The DB15 covers feature 4-40 threaded screws so they can lock tightly to mating connectors and are available to cover either male or female connectors. Shielded connector covers like these are most commonly used in applications such as serial data transmission, data networks, instrument control, and device management.
L-com offers a full selection of D-Sub connector covers. Large quantity pricing is also available.
