Additionally, fraud prevention team leader Torsten Knörr and product manager Robin Blume will present “Best Practices in Direct Debit Fraud with Introduction to Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA)” on March 19.
Joining Russo in the “Chargebacks 101” training workshop on March 17 from 12:00-4:00 p.m. will be Michael Mallon, product manager at Accertify, and Jennifer McCormack, senior business analyst - fraud/e-commerce at Pearson North America. The workshop will provide an introduction to chargeback processes and considerations for individuals and merchants that are new to the fraud and payments world. Russo will focus on best practices for chargeback representment and the challenges merchants face in an evolving e-commerce marketplace.
Russo and Mallon will team up again to lead a roundtable discussion on "Responding to Chargebacks" on March 18 from 2:35-3:45 p.m. This "Meet the Experts" discussion is designed to give all merchants (i.e. physical, digital goods, e-tickets, etc.) a forum to discuss best practices and challenges they are facing. The two speakers will also showcase their methods and thoughts on responding to chargebacks which will help merchants in their daily operations.
Torsten Knörr and Robin Blume will present “Best Practices in Direct Debit Fraud with Introduction to SEPA” on March 19 from 1:35-2:35 p.m. Merchants accepting traditional direct debit payments will learn about the challenges associated with transitioning to the new SEPA regulations. Also covering the potential high risks for accepting/screening direct debits, the session will provide best practices for managing and mitigating direct debit fraud. Coming from a global e-commerce perspective, Knörr and Blume present a unique view for a largely U.S. based merchant conference that faces direct debit difficulties every day.
