CareSource Hires New Vice President for Health Services
Dayton, OH (PRWEB) March 11, 2014 -- CareSource a nonprofit, Ohio-based health plan announced Deborah Mals has joined its leadership team as Vice President of Health Services in Ohio. Mals leads a coordinated system of health care management programs for CareSource’s Ohio membership.
CareSource recently realigned its care management model while maintaining its mission-focused strategy on member needs, and positioning the company for future growth. Mals, reporting to the new Ohio Market President, leads a multi-disciplinary approach to health care utilizing nurses, social workers, and other health care professionals.
CareSource has a 25-year history of sustaining quality in managed care programs for the public-sector health care system. In her role, Mals ensures consistent, effective and efficient delivery of service to improve the health care outcomes of members.
Mals joined CareSource after a tenured career in acute care where she transformed hospital and nursing operations in one of the region’s largest health care systems. She has extensive experience in health care management and operations leading high-performing teams and executing health care models that improved the quality of care.
