The Don Ledford Automotive Center is leading the way not only as a transportation destination but a leading supporter of the Cleveland, TN, community and surrounding area.
At the helm is Debbie Ledford Melton, who recently was awarded the Bedwell Small Businessperson of the Year. Melton says the award reflects the dealership’s role in giving back to the community and added, “We believe in doing the right thing and when we can, it is good for everyone involved and for the future of our community.”
In 2009, Melton led the effort on behalf of her father in convincing General Motors that the dealership was a viable entity in providing sales, service and jobs for the area. Ms. Melton will be first to share credit with the hundreds of area residents who stepped up in support of the family-owned operation keeping the Buick-GMC-Cadillac franchises as well as adding Chevrolet.

The dealership has provided transportation, donations and support to the local United Way, the Youth Leadership class of the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce, the Civitan Club and Salvation Army to mention just a few.
