SkillSurvey®, the inventor of Pre-Hire 360® performance assessments used by more than 800 hospitals worldwide, today announced that North Shore-LIJ Health System (North Shore-LIJ) will begin using SkillSurvey’s new Credential360™ online solution to automate the peer referencing portion of the credentialing process for physicians and advanced practice allied health professionals.

SkillSurvey announced its Credential360™ solution in October 2013. Credential360™ supports the medical staff services departments of hospitals and other healthcare provider organizations in meeting peer referencing requirements set by The Joint Commission (TJC), DNV Healthcare, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and other accrediting/regulatory agencies to validate the competencies of physicians and advanced practice allied health professionals. Since it began using SkillSurvey’s Pre-Hire 360® Performance Assessment in 2010, North Shore-LIJ has assessed 17,086 candidates, with an average of 4.39 references responding per candidate. The insight helped North Shore-LIJ avoid or develop the 9.4% of candidates who scored as having high or moderate developmental needs.
