HAC, Inc to Host Annual Charity Golf Classic to Benefit Local Charitable Organizations

Last year's HAC Charity Classic raised over $67,000 for local charities.

Local charitable organizations accepted the check from the 2013 HAC Charity Golf Tournament.

We support these charities because of the great work they do in our communities and because a great percentage, if not all, of their fundraising efforts end up going to support patients, children and research.

HAC, Inc. is hosting the 2014 HAC Charity Classic on Tuesday, May 20th at Jimmie Austin and The Trails Golf Clubs in Norman, OK. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Easter Seals, MDA, St. Jude, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Leukemia Lymphoma Society and the Oklahoma Brain Tumor Foundation. In addition to the golf tournament on Tuesday, a silent auction and dinner will be held at Riverwind Casino the Monday evening before the tournament with all proceeds going to benefit these same organizations.

“We support these charities because of the great work they do in our communities and because a great percentage, if not all, of their fundraising efforts end up going to support patients, children and research,” commented HAC’s CEO, Darryl Fitzgerald.

Each charity fills a unique need in the community and HAC is proud to show thanks by hosting the annual event which raised over $67,000 last year. Susan G. Komen’s Race for the Cure is in its 20th year of the fight against breast cancer and the Oklahoma Brain Tumor Foundation is in its 14th year of providing support for families and patients who have been diagnosed with a brain tumor. St. Jude supports research and provides treatment for children diagnosed with catastrophic diseases and Easter Seals provides services for those with autism, developmental disabilities, physical and mental disabilities and other special needs. TheMuscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy and ALS, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society funds blood cancer research.
