Designed to help schools and universities create more consistent print maps based on the vast amount of data to which they have access within the CampusBird map management platform, this new module works seamlessly with CampusBird’s content management system making it easy for clients to create accurate print maps faster than ever by leveraging a single source of location data. The foundation of the CampusBird platform is robust data integration which seamlessly keeps map data refreshed in near real time with other internal systems to create and maintain more relevant virtual campus experiences. CampusBird now provides clients with more options for consistently importing detailed location and event information directly into the CampusBird map management platform including enhanced APIs as well as pre-built integrations with other platforms.
“The print map module is a great way for universities to efficiently and accurately leverage their dynamic location content and data in CampusBird because print maps remain such an effective and widespread medium on college campuses,” said Rushton McGarr, president and COO of concept3D. McGarr adds, “While the majority of consumers are tied to their mobile phones, it’s still a matter of creating relevant and valuable experiences using the right medium. In recent months, we’ve been innovating to help universities aggregate more content and then enhance the extensibility of their content all within a single platform.”
A new publishing workflow interface makes it much easier and faster to create, edit and maintain virtual tours and campus maps in a collaborative environment all from within the CampusBird platform. Among other features, the enhanced map interface now includes a collapsible navigation pane allowing the end user to view the campus map in more of the browser window.
