Jonathan M. Perry, a shareholder in the Orlando office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, was named the United Negro College Fund, Inc. (UNCF) Champion of Education during the 12th Annual Mayor’s Luncheon Celebrating Black History Month.
Perry, who serves at the UNCF Leadership Chair, was recognized at the luncheon on Feb. 26 for his outstanding dedication to and leadership within the organization.
The program was attended by both local mayors—Mayor Buddy Dyer of the City of Orlando, and Mayor Teresa Jacobs of Orange County. The keynote address was provided by Dr. Michael L. Lomax, the President and CEO of UNCF. At the end of the program, Perry provided closing remarks alongside Sherry P. Paramore, the Area Development Director for UNCF.
Perry's practice includes the representation of real estate owners, developers, investment firms, institutional and private lenders, and business entrepreneurs in virtually all phases of commercial real estate transactions. His work includes the acquisition, development, finance and disposition of commercial office buildings, hotels and resorts; transit-oriented developments; mixed-use developments; tax increment financing; and historic redevelopment and financing.
