Greenberg Traurig’s Women of the Boardroom February Breakfast Attracts 65 Attendees from Orlando, Tampa
ORLANDO, Fla (PRWEB) March 12, 2014 -- On Feb. 26, the Orlando and Tampa offices of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig hosted 65 professional women at the quarterly “Women of the Boardroom” breakfast featuring Marla Silliman, RN, BSN, MBA. Silliman is a Senior Executive Officer for Children’s and Women’s Health at Florida Hospital and the Chief Executive Officer for the Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children.
Greenberg Traurig’s Women of the Boardroom program provides a forum for networking and exchanging ideas that enable Central Florida women executives to more effectively compete in the corporate community. The law firm hosts this quarterly event inviting honored speakers who have broken through the "glass ceiling" to reach career heights.
Greenberg Traurig Litigation Shareholder, Courtney Keller, had the honor of introducing speaker Marla Silliman.
Silliman has been in the health care field for more than 30 years serving in a variety of roles, including as a registered nurse in pediatrics, physician practice administration, Chief Operating Officer of a free standing children’s hospital, health care consultant at KPMG Peat Marwick, and for the past decade as a leader for Children’s and Women’s services across Central Florida. Her recent contributions include building the Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children; leading the collaboration between Johns Hopkins and Florida Hospital in creating the Johns Hopkins Children’s Heart Surgery Program at Florida Hospital; and launching the leading Women’s Mobile Health Program in Central Florida.
