SXSW Live Channel Goes Big with TriCaster & 3Play
San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) March 12, 2014 -- NewTek today announced that the TriCaster™ 460 multi-camera video production system and the 3Play™ 4800 playback server are the live production hub inside the master control room for content streaming at this week’s SXSW Music Film Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas. In essence, the TriCaster 460 and 3Play 4800 are helping establish the SXSW live channel, sxsw.com/live, as the always-on destination for fresh content from SXSW.
The TriCaster 460 will 24-hour live stream and playback pre-shot content starting at 2:00 p.m. on March 12 and run continuously until 2:00 a.m. on March 16. Programming will include live music and pre-recorded keynote and featured speaker sessions from SXSW Interactive. Musical performances by Foster The People on Friday night at 8:00 p.m. and all official nighttime performances at the North Door venue, one of the longest running musical venues at SXSW, will be streamed live. The 3Play 4800 will house pre-recorded content, help organize and build out playlists, and keep track of show times, representing a new workflow for SXSW live streaming producers.

These sessions will comprise part of the pre-recorded content for sxsw.com/live.
