Edgenuity Unveils Edgenuity MyPath, a Supplemental Instruction Program Designed to Differentiate and Personalize the Learning Experience
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) March 13, 2014 -- Edgenuity, a leading provider of online and blended learning solutions, today announced the launch of Edgenuity MyPath, a new program that provides students in grades 6-12 with supplemental instruction in mathematics and reading customized to their skill and comprehension level. The offering, available for the 2014-2015 school year, can be used for remediation, grade-level support or enrichment through “Individualized Learning Paths.”
Edgenuity MyPath is designed to help students gain the skills they need to be college and career ready. Students below grade level rebuild foundational skills with instruction and activities that are age-appropriate and engaging. Students working at grade level receive critical reinforcement to keep them on track. Students above grade level are exposed to higher-level mathematics and enriching literature and analysis. Teachers and administrators can use the program’s robust reporting features to quickly identify student weaknesses and intervene immediately.
“Customizing the learning experience to every student’s unique needs is one of the most effective ways to engage students and help them succeed academically,” said Sari Factor, CEO of Edgenuity. “Edgenuity MyPath also underscores how technology can be a valuable partner to today’s teachers, providing data-driven insights and differentiated instructional support to meet the needs and abilities of each student.”
Edgenuity MyPath includes a placement test to determine the best Individualized Learning Path for each student. Edgenuity’s school partners can also use the Northwest Evaluation AssociationTM (NWEATM) program to import their NWEATM MAP® data and develop recommendations based on student performance information they already have.
The Edgenuity MyPath placement tests identify whether students are below, on par with, or above grade level across various topics and skill sets. Results are used to recommend a customized sequence of engaging, interactive lessons that reinforce grade-level concepts, review lower-level skills or expose advanced students to enrichment material. Once assigned a sequence of study, students can work through lessons across a diverse range of implementation models – including after school, during a study period, or at home.
