Clarion Safety Systems to Participate in NDPA 2014 Annual Educational Conference

Clarion to sponsor and exhibit at the National Drowning Prevention Alliance (NDPA) Educational Conference March 19 – 21, 2014 in Orlando, Florida.

Milford, PA (PRWEB) March 13, 2014

Clarion Safety Systems, a leading designer and manufacturer of safety signs and labels, is pleased to announce that as part of its ongoing partnership with the National Drowning Prevention Alliance (NDPA) to promote water safety, it will be sponsoring and participating in the organization’s annual educational conference to be held March 19 – 21, 2014 in Orlando, FL.

The NDPA Educational Conference is the leading national conference devoted to drowning prevention, designed to offer attendees the best-of-the-best in research, products, educational programming, outreach strategies, policy and code, and international relations.

“We’re pleased to once again be part of the NDPA’s annual event and to come together with other water safety advocates to discuss our shared goal: to educate and make people aware of risks associated with water-related activities in order to prevent drowning,” says Clarion president, Deb Patterson.

As a sponsor of the event, Clarion will be exhibiting at the conference, showcasing its pool safety sign system product line, as well as providing resources to better understand the Seal of Safer Pool Practices program – a collaboration between Clarion and the NDPA to promote water safety.

The NDPA’s Seal of Safer Pool Practices program provides best practice safety guidelines for aquatic facilities. The goal of the program is to aid in creating a safer experience for patrons at hotels, motels, apartments, condominiums, property owner associations, and multi-family owned pools – and to help to reduce the risks of water-related incidents, as well as resulting costs to facilities.

Included in the Seal of Safer Pool Practices program is a guideline regarding the necessity of posting best practice pool safety signs to effectively communicate water hazards and risks. As part of its program, the NDPA recommends Clarion’s pool safety sign system of comprehension tested signs.

Clarion’s pool safety sign systems are designed with clear graphical symbols to draw attention to core safety messages and crafted to comply with the latest U.S. and international safety standards. In addition, the signage has undergone extensive comprehension testing, designed by independent experts and administered by the NDPA, which confirms that key symbols and signs are quickly recognized and clearly understood by viewers.

“It’s been an honor for Clarion to be recognized by the NDPA as its recommended pool safety sign provider through the Seal of Safer Pool Practices program. We know that effective communication and warnings can help to create safer environments for both adults and children around water, and we look forward to the difference that we can make together for the sake of safety,” Patterson says.
