Project to Focus on Maintaining the Army’s Accreditation with Commendation Status
The United States Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) has awarded a contract to Steve Passin & Associates to support MEDCOM’s efforts to assess their compliance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Criteria for Accreditation, support the conduct of a self-study of their compliance and areas for improvement, conduct worldwide training for their hospitals and medical facilities to provide continuing medical education for Army physicians, and to improve and update their processes, practices and systems. The project will be implemented over the next 16 months. The award was the result of a competitive bidding process in which quality and cost were evaluated.
This contract marks the fourth consecutive award of this project to Passin Associates, each one of which has resulted in maximum accreditation outcomes for the United States Army. Passin Associates also has designed the content of MEDCOM’s unique and comprehensive automated system for the planning and execution of continuing medical education (CME) activities and programs on a global basis for the hundreds of CME projects certified for credit by the Army each year. The system contributes to the cost-effectiveness of Army CME and total regulatory compliance.
