Firmex Provides API to Connect with Other Enterprise Applications
Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) March 13, 2014 -- Firmex is a leading virtual data room provider, supporting over 55,000 companies worldwide that need to share highly confidential documents around M&A, litigation, licensing and procurement.
The availability of Firmex’s API is the first step in a broader strategy to enable integration with third party technologies, such as CRM, Document Management and Accounting systems.
“Our goal is to make Firmex as simple to use as possible,” explained Joel Lessem, CEO of Firmex. “A huge part of that is product integration; ensuring our product compliments other software or applications already being used.”
Developers can use the API to extend Firmex’s rigorous document security model and build their own applications, including features like at-rest and in-transit encryption of content, role-based permissions, detailed access reporting, the ability to restrict print, download, or copy content, and more.
“We know that users work in multiple systems to get their jobs done,” explained Elizabeth Caley, VP of Product Management at Firmex. “They would like to have information and functionality related to their Firmex projects, users, documents and Q&A flow available, regardless of what tool they are using.”
“Our API encourages other systems to integrate with Firmex, so that end users can perform more tasks more efficiently,” she added.
Other programs can talk to the Firmex API in order to accomplish certain tasks, usually by retrieving or modifying data. For example, administrators working within a Document Management system that integrates with Firmex could create a new user, new project, or add new documents, without having to log into Firmex directly.
Firmex provides an API method for just about every feature in the product. Clients interested in learning more about Firmex’s API and integration capabilities are encouraged to contact our Product Development Team.
