Community Meetings in Hilton Head and Charleston about The Affordable Care Act
(PRWEB) March 13, 2014 -- La Isla Magazine, The Lowcountry Immigration Coalition, in conjunction with the Beaufort-Jasper-Hampton Comprehensive Health Services, Inc. Hola Familia and Dame La Mano, will sponsor a Hispanic Healthcare Forum, Saturday March 22, 2014, at Midland Park Community Center (2429 Midland Park Rd, North Charleston 29406) at 6:30PM and Sunday, March 23, 2014, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 24 Pope Avenue, Hilton Head Island, 29928, at 2:15 p.m.
The forum presentation will cover the Affordable Healthcare Act, including information on the eligibility of adult U.S. Citizens and those holding green cards, as well as the eligibility of children U.S. citizens. Related topics will include other options for healthcare including Medicaid eligibility, locally available healthcare through BJHHS, WIC--the women and children’s nutrition program, and the Good Neighbor clinic. Those eligible for the ACA will have an opportunity to sign up at the conclusion of the Forum. Potentially eligible individuals are urged to bring their residency documents with them. All presentations will be in Spanish. Come and learn about the healthcare options available to the Hispanic community.
In order to register you must bring the following documents:
• Proof of Citizenship (SS Card, Voter reg, naturalization papers)
• Any individual or family coverage
• Information on employer coverage
• Family Income (2012 income tax 1040 form)
• Expected 2014 family/household income
