Inc. Magazine Selects iostudio for Build 100

Inc. Magazine identified 100 middle market companies that have grown consistently over the past five years. As one of the Build 100, Tennessee's iostudio, LLC is among America's strongest strategic growth firms.

Inc. magazine selected iostudio, LLC for the Build 100 Index of Sustained-Growth Companies, recognizing iostudio as one of America’s strongest strategic growth firms.

The Build 100 is a project that showcases the top U.S. midmarket companies (those with 85 to 999 workers) that have grown in employees for five consecutive years. After rigorous economic analysis of more than 100,000 U.S. midmarket companies, Inc. economist Gary Kunkle found that less than 1.5 percent of the companies hired new employees consistently from 2007 to 2012. The elite companies who made the cut were selected for the Build 100.

According to Inc., 72 percent of all new jobs are created by only 1 percent of U.S. companies—with iostudio among them. Named among the most competitive firms in the country, iostudio reported a job growth in 2012 of 146 percent. iostudio is the only Tennessee-based company included in the Build 100.

“iostudio increased our client roster by creating effective advertising campaigns, developing innovative websites and mobile apps, and offering clients uniquely talented professionals,” said Andy Blenkle, executive director of iostudio.

According to Scott Leibs, executive editor of Inc., “The only statistically significant predictor of a company’s future success is steady growth.”

iostudio and the other companies selected for the Build 100 are collaborating with Inc. to provide quarterly analysis of their business success during a yearlong research initiative known as the Genome Project. The study aims to identify some of the factors responsible for sustained growth and business resilience, such as strategic management, best practices, and winning strategies.

In addition to growing its talent base, iostudio has demonstrated an ability to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing business landscape. In 2012, iostudio reported revenue of $28 million, more than double its 2011 revenue of $11.1 million.
