Fora Financial Announces Second Round of ‘Project Small Biz’ Contest for a Small Business to Win $5,000
New York, NY (PRWEB) March 17, 2014 -- Fora Financial announces it is expanding its “Project Small Biz” contest, into a second round after a highly successful initial contest in January. Through this contest, Fora Financial will continue to learn more about small business funding trends throughout 2014.
Fora Financial invites small business owners nationwide to enter by submitting a photograph of their business on its Facebook page, along with a brief description of how Fora Financial could help grow or sustain their enterprise. The contest award includes a price of $5,000 and non-winning companies that previously entered are also invited to resubmit.
“The first round of Project Small Biz went above and beyond our expectations,” CEO and Founder, Jared Feldman said. “We used Facebook to connect with our audiences and learn about their funding needs. We look forward to the contest allowing us to continue to help small businesses grow, especially when most banks won’t.”
Project Small Biz’s first round consisted of 44 contest entries from a variety of industries, including online retailers, bakeries, restaurants, spas, construction companies and technology businesses. In just two weeks, Fora Financial’s Facebook following increased more than 3,000 followers. The Company has also developed relationships with several small business owners from the contest that were in need of funding, most of which never heard of Fora Financial before. Creative Flooring of Las Vegas, NV won the contest in January and said they are using the money to bid on larger commercial projects as well as hire additional staff members.
The contest will run beginning at 12:01 a.m. on March 17. All qualified entries through 11:59 p.m. on March 21 will be posted on Fora Financial’s Facebook page. Facebook users will be invited to “like” their favorite entry between March 17 and 11:59 p.m. on March 30.
