Ryan Watts of Jurin Roofing Services Wins Professional Roofing Magazine’s “Best of the Best” Award
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) March 14, 2014 -- The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress has awarded Ryan Watts, foreman for Jurin Roofing Services, Inc., with the Professional Roofing's "Best of the Best" Award. Ryan was announced as winner at the National Roofing Contractors Association's 127th Annual Convention held in Las Vegas February 24th through the 28th.
The Best of the Best award was created to recognize one MVP Award winner who makes extraordinary contributions to the roofing industry and community. The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress MVP Task Force evaluates each MVP Award winner and tallies points based on MVP Award criteria including on-the-job safety, on-the-job performance, recruiting new workers, community service and other noteworthy contributions.
Professional Roofing's Best of the Best Award, co-sponsored by OMG Roofing Products Inc., is a category of the Alliance's Most Valuable Player (MVP) Awards program which recognizes and honors outstanding roofing workers from various regions throughout the United States. MVP award recipients are role models who demonstrate work-related and personal goals to which others aspire.
Winners of the MVP Award are chosen based on their significant contributions to one or more of the following areas: outstanding on-the-job performance; on-the-job safety performance; contributions to a team effort; community service and volunteerism; and other noteworthy contributions and activities.
Ryan Watts will be featured in an article in Professional Roofing magazine later this spring. When interviewed by Professional Roofing, Ryan attributed his winning this award to those he works with at Jurin Roofing Services. “I owe everything I’ve learned and how far I’ve come to the people here at Jurin. I couldn’t have done it without their support and the support of my family.”
The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress was established within the National Roofing Foundation (NRF) to create an endowment fund to serve as a highly focused resource for the roofing industry and its customers. The Alliance's objectives are to conduct research and education projects that support high-quality programs for roofing contractors; ensure timely and forward-thinking industry responses to major economic and technological issues; and enhance the long-term viability and attractiveness of the industry to roofing workers. The Alliance also reaches out to the roofing community and its members and helps fund efforts dedicated to good works and charitable giving.
