Clinical Business Intelligence Network Welcomes Aspirus, Shares Insights from HIMSS Conference Symposium
Appleton, WI (PRWEB) March 14, 2014 -- The Clinical Business Intelligence Network (CBIN), a peer-to-peer learning community that brings together healthcare leaders in performance improvement, clinical analytics, business intelligence and IT, is pleased to announce its newest member, Aspirus in Wausau, Wis.
“We are excited to continue the spread of clinical business intelligence best practices through the addition of Aspirus,” said Julie Bartels, executive vice president of National Health Information for the ThedaCare Center for Healthcare Value, which facilitates CBIN.
Five CBIN members recently presented to a record-setting crowd at a clinical business intelligence symposium as part of the annual Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference—one of the industry’s premiere conferences.
The symposium, “Linking Clinical Analytics & Business Intelligence to Improve Clinical Care and Operational Performance,” was moderated by Bartels and shared results, lessons, and discussion from organizations involved in frontline clinical business intelligence (CBI) work. Participants learned:
- How to define the critical supporting role of CBI
- Why governance is a cornerstone to successful CBI initiatives
- How CBI staff skillsets and work flow processes are essential for success
Attendees saw significant value in the program, saying, “This really hit the mark. We loved the case studies… it was a great getting-started tool box.”
“Clinical business intelligence is a cornerstone to transformation of the larger healthcare system,” said Bartels. “Our members’ engagement helps spread the great work they’ve started on the mission-critical process of integrating business intelligence with healthcare enterprise strategy. Now, patients and employees at Aspirus also will realize these benefits.”
CBIN accelerates the spread of clinical business intelligence throughout the healthcare community, assisting members in realizing greater value from their data and supporting the performance improvement journeys of their organizations.
