Malibu-Calabasas Wine & Food Festival Goes Green
Malibu, CA (PRWEB) March 14, 2014 -- The Malibu-Calabasas Wine & Food Festival has announced that they have been certified by the Los Angeles Green Business Program as a GREEN company. For years, festival organizer Barcelona Enterprises has taken important steps to ensure that these highly attended events have minimal impact on the environment, leaving the smallest footprint possible on the planet. By officially joining the Los Angeles Green Business Program and securing their GREEN certification, they are furthering their commitment to doing business in an environmentally responsible way.
The Los Angeles Green Business Program has a distinctive set of strict requirements that certified partners must adhere to, including but not limited to: reducing paper use, eliminating faxes, using only 100% recycled paper products, and printing with GREEN certified printers. Further efforts include recycling and composting all waste and bio-degradable materials from these often sold-out events. The Malibu-Calabasas Wine & Food Festival has also committed to using locally sourced supplies whenever possible to reduce carbon emissions and other bio-hazards from trucking.
