Push to Walk to Attend Helen Hayes Hospital’s Adapted Sports, Recreation, and Living Expo
Riverdale, NJ (PRWEB) March 14, 2014 -- Saturday, March 22, 2014, Push to Walk Program Director, Tommy Sutor, will display information about the non-profit organization’s program at the Adapted Sports, Recreation, and Living Expo at Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, New York. The expo is open to the public, free, and will run from 11 AM to 4 PM.
The expo is a special one-day event that has been expanded from the hospital’s successful annual Adapted Sports & Recreation Expo. Many different services and products specifically designed for individuals living with disabilities will be exhibited during the day. The setup of the event promotes interaction among companies, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and general public.
“Partnering with hospitals such as Helen Hayes and supporting this expo provides an opportunity for us to gain additional resources to promote a healthy and active lifestyle to our clients, which is a key part to our mission. It is also important that we have a presence at events for the spinal cord injury and paralysis community so others can become more familiar with our organization. ,” explains Push to Walk founder, Cynthia Templeton.
Push to Walk is able to cover only about 75% of its operating costs through client fees, and relies on fundraising events to help make up the difference. Donation opportunities are available on the Push to Walk website: http://www.pushtowalknj.org.
