Marketing Answers & Solutions (http://www.marketinganswers.co.uk), CRM Consultants, announce they have now published Part 2 (of a series of 4) Blogs on the most common challenges and issues encountered when moving from a legacy system used by sales and marketing teams to a new full CRM (Customer Relationship Management ) software system.

This Blog is the second of a series and is focussed on the need to plan for Data Migration and the importance of having a core Project team together with supporting documentation gained from what is termed a Scoping Workshop to ensure that any migration is smooth as possible.

The blog’s gives some helpful tips on how to overcome some of the practical issues many companies find and what needs to considered around data migration and the importance of this issue in gaining CRM user acceptance and engendering enthusiasm for launch.

About Gary Perkins

Having worked for 15 years in a variety of Sales and & Marketing positions for a number of blue chip companies, Gary moved full time into the word of IT sales and marketing software in 1996.
His first role was with GoldMine CRM software. This involved developing their distribution channel of CRM new resellers and meant, from the outset, existing CRM competitor resellers were targeted and time was invested in understanding competitor CRM functionality and brand positioning.

In 1998, Gary established his own CRM consultancy “Marketing Answers and Solutions” seeing that CRM was at the heart of a range of sales and marketing technology solutions. Initially offering GoldMine, but beginning in 2004 the CRM portfolio expanded first with SAGE CRM, then ACT!, MS CRM 2011, Workbooks and Nimble. Gary was heavily involved with Sales Logix from 1999 onwards.

Since then, Gary has acquired a wealth of knowledge of the CRM industry on a variety of products, such that he can claim in-depth experience and knowledge of over 17 CRM products and countless add-ons.

In the last 16 years, Marketing Answers and Solutions have been named Reseller of the Year in 2007, regularly achieved SAGE CRM and ACT! Top 10 Partner status and have acquired a reputation for delivering sustainable and successful CRM projects by matching the right CRM product to the client.
