Prominent Placement (PPI), a leading Atlanta search engine marketing company, took home two honors for excellence in digital marketing Thursday night at the 57th annual Atlanta Marketer of the Year (AMY) Awards ceremony. PPI earned awards in the “Web & Interactive Marketing - Lead Generation” category for work with Alfresco, and the “Search Marketing – PPC” category for work with Recall.
PPI previously earned three wins and numerous finalist designations for the peer-issued awards, which recognize the most creative and effective marketing campaigns in the Atlanta region. The Atlanta Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) awarded PPI at a sold-out gala at the Fox Theatre.

PPI was recognized twice as a finalist in the “Web & Interactive Marketing - Lead Generation” category for multi-faceted CRO programs with Alfresco and Walton Communities. PPI was also a finalist in the “Search Marketing – SEO” category for SEO success with NexTraq and the “Search Marketing – PPC” category for dramatic paid search results with Recall.
For the winning “Web & Interactive Marketing - Lead Generation” entry, “Strategic Conversion Optimization & Design Testing Drives Visitor Engagement Increase,” PPI crafted a CRO strategy with Alfresco to boost lead generation and engagement through A/B testing, user testing and a card sort study which led to information architecture (IA) improvements.
For the winning “Search Marketing – PPC” entry, “Driving Inbound Phone Calls with New Pay-Per-Click Programs,” PPI’s year-long campaign with Recall resulted in a dramatic 329 percent increase in phone call leads.
For the finalist “Search Marketing – SEO” entry, “Building Lasting Organic Rankings with Structured Data and Content Marketing,” PPI’s SEO team worked with NexTraq to employ structured data and customized content recommendations to boost rankings and qualified traffic.
For the finalist “Web & Interactive Marketing - Lead Generation” entry, “Usability-Driven Navigation Redesign Improves Site Engagement,” PPI provided strategic recommendations for the redesign of Walton Communities’ website IA guided by in-depth user testing, heuristic usability audits and analytic insights.
The AMY Awards are given annually to “companies that crafted innovative strategies, unforgettable creative and produced outstanding results,” according to the awards website.
